1. What is Power Fitness PDX?
Power Fitness PDX offers small group training classes that not only challenge you to new levels, but encourage you to surpass them. In Power, you work as a TEAM, and sign up knowing you will be working with others to reach your goals. You have the support, encouragement, and guidance of one of the most dynamic and motivating trainers, who will make you ready to jump, eager to sprint, and willing to push yourself to the next level. In addition, the TEAM's support and camaraderie is like none other. No day is the same, no workout is the same, no session is the same. Every day you come to "Challenge the Power of You!"
2. What is the importance of the TEAM approach?
TEAM - Together.Empower.Achieve.Motivate™
When you read the word TEAM, you think of strength and camaraderie. Teams in professional and Olympic sports work together to achieve success. It's the same in Power Fitness PDX. We empower our teammates to succeed through our support and encouragement.
3.
What do I bring to class?
You are required to bring a few things each day.
1. First day - Bring Power Fitness PDX medical waiver and details outlining any injuries.
2. Every day - 16-24 oz. full water bottle that must be consumed by the end of class
3. Every day - One light set (3/5/8#) & one heavy set (8/10/12/15#) of weights
4. Every day - Good attitude
4. What are the class rules?
1. Get 7-8 hours of sleep every night.
2. Arrive to class on time. If you are late, the team is penalized.
3. Inform the coach by 30 minutes prior to class if you are unable to attend.
4. Come ready to work. Make the full 60 minutes work for you! And as Coach Erin's college triathlon coach said, "No slackers. No whiners."
5. I haven't exercised in a long time and feel intimidated. What if I can't keep up with the TEAM?
We understand that getting started can be hard, but don't let that stop you! You will feel invigorated and motivated after each workout, and curious to know what the next workout will be like. Previous teammates who were sedentary prior to class said, "The first two weeks are the hardest and then you can't wait to wake up and attend Power." You will be encouraged to push to the next level with respect and guidance. As a TEAM, everyone starts at different levels and will be trained accordingly.
6. How much weight can I expect to lose each session?
The focus in Power Fitness PDX is on measurements and body strength. But through monthly dedication and training 3-4x/week, the average physical changes are 4-8 pounds, 4 inches, a 30% strength increase, and a 2-3% body fat loss.
7. How do I register for classes?
Go to our sign up page and register, then pay online or bring a check to class. Your space is confirmed once funds are received. Class maximum is 14 students. |
